Successful Transport Planning
Successful transport solutions are not only about optimising traffic flow. The role of a transport planner is to find and deliver the best transport solutions for the communities they are intended to serve, within social, economic and physical constraints. But we cannot continue to accommodate the continuing rise in road traffic that has damaged our towns and countryside and, most believe, contributes to climate change. We must therefore seek to reduce transport demand through land use planning and affect changes in the means by which we travel. Our quality of life depends on it!
